Jakarta Fashion Week 2013, Tenun Lombok dalam Persepsi Desainer Muda Binus

KOMPAS.com - Regenerasi memang sangat dibutuhkan untuk memberi suasana dan energi baru, termasuk dalam dunia fashion. Untuk memberi kesempatan generasi muda unjuk kebolehan, Jakarta Fashion Week 2013 (JFW 2013) mengajak desainer muda dari beberapa sekolah mode, seperti Binus International University dan Raffles Intitute of Higher Education (RIHE).

Dalam ajang fashion ini, Binus International University mengambil tema "Hyper Culture, Tradition's New Dimension". Tema ini diambil sebagai bentuk kecintaan 13 desainer muda Binus terhadap budaya Indonesia, khususnya kain tenun lombok. Untuk menghadirkan keindahan kain tenun lombok ini, Binus International bekerjasama dengan Northumbria University dan Cita Tenun Indonesia (CTI).

Para desainer menerjemahkan tenun lombok sesuai persepsi mereka masing-masing melalui tema yang mereka angkat, yaitu "The Heavenly Kingdom" (Amelia Smith), "You've Got Punk" (Avridya Keumala), "Sun In The Sun" (Elvy Halim), "Miss Ginger Bread" (Nadia Umammi), "Day Dream" (Christina Riady dan Nissa Sabrina), "Futuristic Hawaii" (Cinantya Natirasmi dan Jessie Oosterbosch), "Watercolor Dreams" (Arinta Wirasto), "With Scott To The Pole" (Martin Percival), "Woven Parallels" (Vickie Scho Field), "Revolutionary" (Asti Tiara), "Labyrinth of Life" (Ridya Viragisti), "A Rorschach Nightmare" (Anggi Noriza dan Sekar Rindang), dan "Two Tribes" (Daniel Fadgley).

Kain tenun lombok ini dihadirkan dalam berbagai gaya yang modern, kasual, simpel, dalam bentuk mini dress, blazer, sampai kemeja dalam warna-warna cerah.

RIHE Hadirkan "Ready To Wear" sampai "Couture"

Tahun ini pertama kalinya RIHE tampil dalam ajang JFW 2013. Untuk debutnya ini RIHE diwakili oleh para siswanya dari Singapura dan Australia, yaitu Felicia Raina Ardelia, Jessica Tjiptoning, Sri Lukito, Grace Soenjaya, Peggy Hartanto, dan Rumawisari Dewi.

Enam desainer ini menghadirkan 48 outlook yang berbeda sesuai dengan inspirasi dan gambaran kreativitas mereka. RIHE sendiri tidak memberikan tema khusus bagi siswanya, sehingga mereka bebas berkreasi sesuai passion-nya. "Kami punya style masing-masing, maka kami menghadirkan busana sesuai keinginan mulai dari busana ready to wear sampai couture," ungkap Jessica Tjiptoning, saat konferensi pers di Plaza Senayan, Jakarta, Senin (5/11/2012) lalu.

Inspirasi untuk menciptakan karya-karya mereka diakui berasal dari kehidupan sehari-hari, misalnya dari anatomi bunga anggrek, lautan, kekuatan perempuan, dua sisi kehidupan manusia, sampai kehidupan samurai di Jepang. Semua inspirasi ini mereka tuangkan dalam garis busana yang tegas, feminin, anggun, dengan sentuhan sedikit maskulin.
