5 Langkah Menyelamatkan Muaro Jambi untuk SBY

TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Ahli Arkeologi Mundardjito, budayawan Goenawan Mohamad, dan sejumlah tokoh dari berbagai kalangan mengeluarkan petisi Save Muaro Jambi.

Petisi berisi lima
poin langkah penyelamatan percandian kuno itu dilayangkan kepada Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Gubernur Provinsi Jambi Hasan Basri Agus, dan Bupati Kabupaten Muarajambi Burhanuddin Mahir.

Poin pertama yang mereka tuntut, pemerintah pusat dan daerah Jambi segera mengukuhkan kawasan percandian Muaro Jambi sebagai kawasan cagar budaya nasional yang dilindungi oleh Undang-Undang Cagar Budaya Nomor 11 Tahun 2010.

Poin kedua, kawasan budaya itu ditetapkan sebagai kawasan strategis nasional berdasarkan UU Nomor 26 tahun 2007 Tentang Penataan Ruang.

Poin ketiga, pemerintah menerbitkan payung hukum bagi pelestarian kawasan percandian Muaro Jambi sebagai kawasan wisata sejarah terpadu, seperti yang telah dicanangkan oleh Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono pada 22 September 2011.

Poin keempat, mereka mendesak perusahaan-perusahaan yang beroperasi di kawasan percandian Muaro Jambi untuk segera menghentikan semua aktivitasnya dan merehabilitasi semua kerusakan.

Poin terakhir, pemerintah pusat, pemerintah daerah, dan masyarakat melakukan langkah nyata menyelamatkan dan mengembangkan kawasan percandian Muaro Jambi, termasuk mengupayakan dengan maksimal diperolehnya pengakuan situs ini sebagai warisan dunia (World Cultural Heritage) dari UNESCO.

Siapa pun yang ingin ikut berpartisipasi memberikan dukungan bisa mengakses http://www.petitions24.com/save_muarajambi. Sampai Jumat, 10 Februari 2012, sekitar pukul 14.30, sudah ada 135 orang yang menandatangani petisi itu. Melalui gerakan itu mereka berharap Presiden SBY, Pemerintah Provinsi Jambi, dan Pemerintah Kabupaten Muaro Jambi, mengapresiasi tuntutan.

Kawasan cagar budaya Muaro Candi adalah daerah-daerah yang mencakup tujuh wilayah desa di Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Ketujuh desa tersebut adalah Desa Dusun Baru, Desa Danau Lamo, Desa Muarajambi, Desa Kemingking Luar dan Desa Kemingking Dalam, serta Desa Teluk Jambu dan Desa Dusun Mudo.

Di kawasan ini terdapat kompleks candi peninggalan masa Hindu-Buddha yang dibangun pada abad VII-XIV Masehi. Kawasan tersebut memiliki luas 2.612 hektare. Candi-candi yang terdapat di wilayah itu adalah Candi Teluk I, Candi Teluk II, Candi Cina, Menapo Cina, Menapo Pelayangan, Menapo Mukti dan Menapo Astano. Menapo adalah tumpukan batu yang sudah tertimbun.

Salah satu anggota Perhimpunan Pelestarian Muaro Jambi (PPMJ), Metta Dharmasaputra, yang ikut menandatangani petisi, mengatakan petisi ini merupakan salah satu bentuk upaya penyelamatan kekayaan bangsa.

“Langkah ini kami lakukan agar negara lain tidak mengklaim kekayaan budaya milik bangsa Indonesia,” ujar Metta kepada Satwika dari Tempo dalam konferensi yang digagas PPMJ di Jakarta pada Kamis, 9 Februari 2012.
